The legacy of Antica Legatoria Viali, registered in the Italian Historic Shops Registry since 2011 after 120 years of activity, has been taken up by Lucia Maria Arena along with Hans Rainer. Both refined their skills at the “Centro del bel libro” in Ascona and the “Buchbinder-colleg” in Stuttgart. From hand binding to volume restoration, great attention is given to leather tanning techniques (strictly vegetable) and the choice of materials: parchment, fine papers, and fabrics for a high-quality product.
